Boracay Airports consist of 2 Destinations which are as follows:

Caticlan Airport

   1. Flight time is shorter - Can arrive in just 35 mins.
   2. Transfers to Caticlan Boat Jetty only 2-5 mins travel time.
   3. Overall fastest route to Boracay.

Kalibo Airport -

   1. Flight time is longer - Flight Time approximately 1 hour.
   2. Transfers from Kalibo to Caticlan Boat Jetty - 2 hours by bus.
   3. Terrible return times causing clients to loose half a day.
   4. Longest route taking many hours longer than the Caticlan Route.
   5. If bus breaks down, delay will be astronomical. Caticlan route you can easily be transferred immediately upon breakdown.

Philippine CAA imposes new rules for Caticlan airport following crash

Landings and takeoffs at the Philippines' Caticlan airport have been restricted pending the lengthening of its runway and the flattening of a hill that obstructs one of is approaches.

Aircraft can only use runway 06 for landing and runway 24 for taking off, says the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.

The move comes after a Xian Aircraft MA60 turboprop operated by Zest Airways overshot the runway while trying to land on runway 24. Nobody was hurt in the accident.

Jose Saplan, chief of the aircraft accidents investigations board at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, tells ATI there are plans to lengthen the runway by 100m and flatten the mountain obstructing runway 24.

He says the landing and takeoff restrictions will remain until the expansion project is complete.

The project has been tendered, but negotiations are still necessary with land owners who may be affected by the plan, he adds.

PAL, Cebu Pacific and Zest are using Kalibo Airport

Seaair is still using Caticlan Airport seair is the best option also the most expensive

If using a Philippine travel agent get them to check before booking some don’t know the difference or even care
